Rediscovering Prayer

Don’t let Easter Pass before Praying This…

“Now is the judgment of this world; now will the ruler of this world be cast out. And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.”
— John 12:31–32

He is risen, He is risen indeed.

Today is a reminder that we can pray and live in confidence that the ruler of this world has been cast out, that the voice of accusation is condemned, and that your prayers, whether they be whispers or shouts, are now energized by resurrection power.

Jesus said when He is lifted up that He would draw all people to himself. We could also say that he draws all of us to himself. There is no part of you and me that can escape his gravitational pull. Period.

Sin and shame, doubt and despair, loss and loneliness, they will all bow a knee to the Eternal One, for their power, though strong, is inevitably temporal. They cannot defeat His Life.

Response

Risen Lord,
We thank You for Your blood and tears,
for the stone rolled away,
for Your life that overcomes death.
Let this day remind us that nothing is beyond Your reach.
May we live as Easter people—
full of hope, joy, and resurrection power. Amen.

The Entries

God will meet you as you move.

This week, when you feel the sting of delay or the ache of unmet expectations, when you’re tempted to cut down the tree, remind yourself that the Vinedresser is still at work. He’s still digging, still tending, still waiting.
